Lady Gaga Speaks On Kanye West's VMA Invasion

Kanye West's interruption of Taylor Swift's acceptance speech during the MTV Video Music Awards earlier this month continues to be a hot-button topic, and Lady Gaga — who will be co-headlining the "Fame Kills" tour with West later this year — weighed in on the issue during a recent interview with Las Vegas radio station KLUC-FM.

"I was thinking, 'Oh gosh,' " she told the station when asked about her initial reaction. "But, like, I would say he's a good guy and everybody makes mistakes, and he feels so f---ing bad. He really does. I think that everyone can get so caught up in gossip and stuff."

Gaga has certainly been the object of much gossip herself in recent months. And she said she believes Kanye — who has apologized for the incident multiple times — deserves to be forgiven. "I think it's unfair to judge somebody on one mistake they've made," she said. "I felt like that moment kind of like really portrayed him in a way that he really isn't. It was just a random moment."

She then turned the conversation to West's influence on today's music. "If you listen to the radio right now, with the exception of myself, really, and Taylor Swift, Kanye is responsible for everything we're listening to," she said. "He's changed music and he's really prolific and an incredible person."

Before the "Fame Kills" tour launches in Phoenix on November 10, Gaga will make her debut appearance as musical guest on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend. She also will re-release an expanded version of her debut LP (titled The Fame: Monster) on November 24.
